TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP (TPP) OPEN DAY 1 AUGUST 2013, 9.00AM - 1.00PM at Matrade

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations have attracted various responses from the public. In response, The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) is pleased to invite you to attend the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Open Day. We hope to be able to:
  • update you on the 18th round of negotiations held here in Malaysia;
  • clear some misconceptions about the TPP;
  • explain the rationale for Malaysia's participation; and
  • hear the concerns of the public towards the TPP.
If you are a businessman or professional who wishes to know what are the opportunities that will be available once the TPP comes into force, if you are an SME worried about the increased competition the TPP will bring, if you are a stakeholder or interested person and want to share your concerns with the negotiators, or if you just want to satisfy your curiosity, please join us on 1 August 2013 from 9.00am to 1.00pm at MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The event will be officiated by the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Y.B. Dato' Mustapa Mohamed, accompanied by the TPP negotiating team from the various Ministries and Agencies. This is your opportunity to engage with the negotiators directly especially during the break-out sessions and obtain answers to your questions.
